Divine inspiration: Dracula Rules! Flandersgames

Hi all,

In the 90's, Francis Ford Coppola decided to revisit the classic Bram Stoker, "Dracula", producing a film that claimed to be the most faithful reflection of the literary work on the big screen. Not for nothing that the movie was called "Bram Stoker's Dracula." The result was, in my opinion, a tedious and boring film that also introduced a love story completely absent in the original between the Count and Mina Harker, likely in an attempt to humanize the Transylvanian vampire, also linking the legend Tepes the Impaler Vlad Dracula the literature which are not warned in the text. Yes, absolutely merit were undeniably high "production values" (as we now like to call). The absolutely brilliant character design (with that look Japanese), costume and music of Polish Wojciech Kilar scored a movie so that they saved the most horrific of artistic failures.

precisely the author's music accommodated in a classical style that Coppola wanted to give, and became a successful play in its release on CD. You have more data on it January this review Scoremagacine.
I do not know if that success or otherwise, now I want to highlight some soundtracks that either directly copied music Kilar either have it as a clear inspiration.

A good example is the work of Danny Elfman for The Wolfman, which you can listen here.

After this "Wolf Handily" The Beggining hear of Kilar.

Vostros
I do not know, but I do sound alike. That seemed, well, makes me suspicious of the clear intention referrer, either by the nefarious influence of temp-tracks either by a real "inspiration divine. But the truth is I guess we'll never know, since the music of The Wolfman disc does not correspond with that of the film (it has many changes) due to production problems the film, which affected the music as long as Elfman's score was rejected and replaced by Paul Haslinger (Underworld ) score which in turn was also rejected, again while Elfman's adapted to what happened in other hands. So not quite sure whether this "inspiration" came out of necessity and the rush (as happened with the original Pirates of the Caribbean , Klaus Badelt, who was a rehash of the entire library Music Remote Control, the study of Hans Zimmer, due to the haste with which they had to make up) or the original score by Elfman.

Another work that borrows notes Stardust Polish musician is , Ilan Eshkeri. Matthew Vaughn's film (Kick-Ass ) has a great music to play (epic cuts unaffordable), and in general, but drinks from many stylistic sources, is a great score that fits like a charm with images and, above all, with the tone that the director wants to give the film.

The fact is that on the track "Lamia's Inn", at minute 4, sounds a tune ...

... we had also heard of Dracula, in particular the song "Vampire Hunters".

As you can see, this is no longer a stylistic resemblance, but a clear and obvious copy. "Fruit of the temp-tracks again?. We do not know. But that is almost the same theme is evident.

Bonus Track: Also, although this most certainly reminds me of the opening of the Count of Monte Cristo by Bruno Coulais for "The Brides" Dracula. I leave you both and compare.
